A journey with a beginning and end punctuated by indelible consequences.

c0 An alien ship arrives over New York in the movie Independence Day. Click to enlarge. Note the Twin Towers still standing.Popular culture has filled us with images of folks resigned to death or welcoming it, like this one:

Crazies atop a Skyscraper Get Blown to Kingdom Come in "Independence Day"

That's
the reaction of an increasingly secular society.

Unfortunately, those at peace with death are seen as whacko unless they are resigned in some noble New Age way to embracing their place in the cycle of life (which is fertilizer).

Should anyone open that cycle into a line and regard it as a journey with a beginning and end punctuated by indelible consequences, they're considered as crazy as the alien cannon fodder atop the US Bank Tower in LA.

c0 Clarence talks to George after he pulls him out of the water. George is suddenly able to hear with an ear that's been deaf since a childhood accident. George says to Clarence, "Say something else in that ear." Clarence replies, "Sure. You can hear out of it."Say something else in that ear.

"If plants could write we might have a different definition of 'invasive species.'"
