I watched Drew Carey recently come near to tears on a retrospective of Johnny Carson; that was on PBS's American Masters on May 17. It was genuine and touching; he's struggled with personal issues, as many comics do. We often think famous and successful people have
it all together; more often they don't, but use their challenges to fuel their art.
I like him very much. My son Charlie and I watched his show weekly for many seasons.
