There was a story on NPR today about declining birth rates. Problem: Fewer people are entering the world to pay for the bills of an aging populace and an increasing number of retirees.
I see the same problem in business: Every sales year must improve or you are failing.
The underlying problem in both these scenarios is they rely on growth to solve all the problems, and that is not sustainable.
