This is Santa at Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids. This Santa and his helpers really earned their milk and cookies getting a smile out our little girl Dee Dee, despite a long line and lots of crying little ones. Thank you Santa and Woodland, you guys did a wonderful job.

This was also probably Woodland Mall, circa 1996. I don't recall that it was too difficult to coax a smile out of Charlie then. It's a little different now :-) This is a scan of a Polaroid. No digital cameras or cell phones then. This photo is on my desk year-round at home.
Next year I will be able to post pictures of Dee Dee and Mimi.

Both the kids look great - I have to admit - They've done a better job with rendering Santa in recent years!
ReplyDeleteRe Santa: They sure have! Remember Santa with the red framed glasses? I still have that picture somewhere.The dear soul, maybe he couldn't go without glasses and decided they should be red rimmed ones to be Santa. :-) Possibly this was before the days of contacts or maybe these were simply the old gentleman's glasses.
