Are Satanists' religious convictions as valid as Christians'?

Baphomet has been associated with
The Sabbatic Goat since this 1856
Eliphas Lévi drawing. The Sabbatic Goat symbol
was later adopted by the Church of Satan
and is also used by The Satanic Temple.
Recently Chris Hayes challenged conservatives on MSNBC's All In Chris Hayes with a Satanic legal challenge in the wake of the Hobby Lobby decision, suggesting some Christians might respond differently because of who's behind it.

(Lucien Greaves and The Satanic Temple oppose state-mandated “informed consent” literature being given to mother's seeking an abortion.

RNS is a non-profit corporation at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and provides non-sectarian coverage of religion, spirituality and ideas. In other words, they have no axe to grind here.)

As I've said before, I like Hayes, but his manner can become annoying, as in this case when he's obviously pleased with himself for having made an insightful comparison and stares with sarcastic condescension into the camera as though he'd just slapped our cheek with a pair of gloves and challenged us to pistols at 20 paces.

What should the Christian response be to Hayes?

YES, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, A THOUSAND TIMES YES!

All sincerely held religious convictions should be protected.

Not imposed, not funded, just protected

Chris Hayes also unwittingly (or unwisely) gave free publicity to opportunist Doug Mesner, a.k.a. Lucien Greaves, founder and apologist for The Satanic Temple (initially "a practical joke").

How many Satanists would risk death for Satan? (or whatever Satan represents to them). We
don't know what it means to suffer for Christ.

"Canon Andrew White, also known as the "Vicar of Baghdad," is the Chaplain of St George’s Anglican Church in Baghdad, Iraq. He estimates that his flock used to number around 6,000 people, but in the last decade over 1,200 have been killed, according to CNN's Arwa Damon."
