One of the Worst Things about Losing a Parent

1
What’s one of the worst things about losing a parent?

You lose someone who will always tell you how proud they are of you, regardless of how low you fall.

And you only get two.

After that, most of the praise you get for most of what you do for the rest of your life will, by comparison, be utterly hollow.

Story idea:
A writer is hired to communicate the benefits of Luxury Terry Cloth Bath Towels. The company that sells these towels is amazed how many more they are now selling after the writer began extolling their virtues. Copywriters at a competing company that sells Sumerian Cotton Bath Towels are astonished at his copy, for he writes as one that has authority, and not as a marketer. And they talk amongst themselves and say, What new grammar is this? For even adverbs obey him. The copywriters then question him on Twitter and Facebook and all manner of social media, and the writer responds, "I say unto you, grammar was made for man, not man for grammar."
