Dumbest new term I've ever heard: self-radicalized.
Not only had I never heard the term, apparently it's been around long enough to enjoy the company of the word classic: CNN: "A classic case of self-radicalizing" >
All that's happened is we're grappling with yet another case of human cruelty that we can't explain and never will to everyone's satisfaction; so we come up with new terms to express a fresh encounter with the inexplicable.
We've been asking the same question since Job, who found no easy answers either.
